DELAWARE, Ohio – Capital University Men`s Cross Country was in full effect at Ohio Wesleyan University, Saturday morning. The men managed to jump a spot ahead of their finish from last year, finishing eighth overall.
The Crusaders were led by sophomore Aaron Fox (Commercial Point, Ohio), crossing the line in 29:47.5. Fox has made major growth this season, jumping twenty-seven spots from his last years finish. He finished 59th in a field of 100 competitors, this year.
Sophomore Derek Knabe (Cincinnati, Ohio) was the second finisher for the Crusaders coming in at 30:46.8 for 76th place.
Nathan Flores (North Baltimore, Ohio) was the top freshman finisher for Capital with a time of 31:08.1.
Ashland University (36) took first place, and Ohio Wesleyan University (67) took second place for the second straight year. Capital finished eighth with out of nine competing schools, finishing in front of Columbus State.
Capital has the next week off but their next appearance will be on Sept. 19 at the Otterbein Invitational.
