WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Capital University women's golf team was back on the River Greens Golf Course on Saturday as it competed in the second round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships. Katie Lease led Cap with a low-round of 84.
Junior Katie Lease (Hilliard, Ohio / Hilliard Davidson) finished day two of the OAC Championships with an 84. Lease climbed three spots on the individual rankings as she sits in fifth place after two days. Her two-round total is 171.
Junior Janie Moller (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington North) tied for the second lowest round for Cap with a 91. Her two-day score is 178.
Sophomore Katelynn Kinley (Sycamore, Ohio / Mohawk) matched her first round score of 91 and tied for second among Capital golfers on day two. After two rounds of play she has a combined score of 182.
Junior Christy Conley (Reynoldsburg, Ohio / Pickerington Central) improved three strokes from the first round, as she shot a 95 for her second round. Her tournament total is 193.
Freshman Alyssa Greening (Norton, Ohio / Norton) knocked six strokes off from her day one round. Greening shot a second round 99. She currently has a combined score of 204.
The University of Mount Union continues to lead the team standings with a two-day total of 681. Otterbein University is in second, just three strokes back with a 684. Ohio Northern University jumped into the third spot with a total of 714.
Ann Jobko of Otterbein holds the top spot in the individual standings with a combined total of 159. Mount Union's Erica Mawhorr is just six shots back with a 165.
The Crusaders return to action tomorrow with the final round of the OAC Championships from the River Greens Golf Club.
