Women’s Soccer Plants Three on OCSA’s All-Ohio List

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) announced its 2017 NCAA Division III All-Ohio teams, and three Capital University Crusaders made the list after a successful season.

Defender Mary Bushee (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos) and midfielder Chloe Brown (Monclova, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) were named Second Team All-Ohio, while defender Allyssa Kimbler (London, Ohio/London) was named to the third team following her first season donning the Purple and White.

Capital's defense, which all three played a major role in comprising, allowed 1.23 goals per game and 24 total to its opponents. In OAC play, the Crusaders allowed just seven goals, second-fewest in the league. Capital blanked its opponents six times. All three were named to an All-OAC team, with Kimbler and Brown earned first-team honors.

On the offensive end, Bushee scored three times and added one assist. Brown scored one goal and two assists on the offensive end, and Kimbler posted one goal and one assist.

The Crusaders finished their year with a 10-8-1 overall record and a 7-2-0 conference record and were runners-up in the OAC Tournament.
