Women’s Soccer Earns Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced its list of college programs that earned Team Academic Award honors for the 2017-18 season. Capital University Women's Soccer is one of the 484 NCAA teams to collect the award.

To be eligible for the award, a team must accumulate a collective grade point average of 3.0 of higher in the academic year. A total of 773 soccer teams, 289 men's programs and 484 women's programs, earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year.

This is the 10th time since 2003 that the Capital women's soccer program has been recognized as a recipient.

Last year, Capital placed nine players on the Academic All-OAC list including current Crusaders  Jordan Fike, Hannah Klotzsche and Maggie Peddicord.
