Lila Remache completed her second year as the graduate assistant coach for Capital Women’s Soccer in the 2018 season. Remache comes to Capital following a playing career at multiple NAIA schools.
In her first season with Capital, the Crusaders went 7-2-0 against OAC competition, granting them a first-round bye in the conference tournament. They finished OAC runners-up and put seven players on the all-conference team, including two first teamers. The Crusaders then won 13 games in 2018 and five players earned all-conference laurels.
As a freshman at nationally-ranked Martin Methodist (Pulaski, Tenn.), Remache played in 18 games and was part of a RedHawks squad that went on to go 15-4 overall, undefeated in conference play and won both the regular season and conference tournament titles. She took 17 shots, 13 of which landed on frame, and tallied her lone assist in her collegiate debut in the season opener against Lyon College (Ark.).
Remache then went on to transfer to Division II Auburn-Montgomery where she played out her three remaining years of eligibility. As a center midfielder/forward, she came in and saw action in 14 games with the Warhawks, starting six of those. Remache scored two goals and tallied two assists in her first season at AUM. Following her junior campaign, she earned Second Team All-Southern States Conference honors with a team-leading 11 goals in 19 matches, all of which she started. The 2014 season was a 24-point year after adding two assists. Four of her 11 goals served as game-winners.
In her senior season, Remache scored five goals and a career-high four assists for a total of 14 points. Over her three years at AUM, Remache and the Warhawks collected an overall record of 28-25-3.
Remache is no stranger to coaching after assisting with U9, U11 and U17 girls teams at the Capital City Streaks in Montgomery, Ala. between 2015-17. She was also a member of the ODP and EPD staff with the Alabama Soccer Association. Remache currently holds USSF ‘D’ license as well as the USC Goalkeeping diploma level 1 and 2.
Remache holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/international business from Auburn-Montgomery, which she completed in 2016. She is a native of Taverny, France, where she played for Club Team Cosmo Taverny before transferring to FAS Herblay in the Women’s French Division 2 League.
She is working toward her master’s degree in business administration while at Capital. She is also playing semi-professionally with Columbus Eagles FC, which plays in the Women’s Premier Soccer League.
