COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) has announced the preseason polls for the 2019 volleyball season. Capital University Volleyball was chosen to finish ninth in the preseason poll.

Capital received 19 points in the poll to take the nine spot in the 10-team poll. They sit above Wilmington College (14) and rest below Marietta College (28).

Ohio Northern University took seven of the possible 10 first-place votes to claim the title of preseason favorite. Otterbein University (64) and Muskingum University (64) tied for second and each received one first-place vote. Baldwin Wallace University (52) claimed the final first-place vote and fourth in the poll.

The Crusaders look to bounce back from a winless 2018 season and will begin that quest at the inaugural Pam Briggs Classic held at The Capital Center on August 30-31. The first match will be played against Hiram College on August 30 at 4 p.m.
