Cross Country Competes at Great Lakes Regional

MASON, Ohio - The Capital University women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Regional Championship on Saturday hosted by Wilmington College. 

Capital finished 26th out of 35 qualifying teams in the Great Lakes Regional 6k race.

Freshman Hannah Westhoven (Napolean, Ohio) led the Crusaders with a time of 24:16.7, placing 123rd out of 246 total runners.

Sophomore Carrie Kuder (Hilliard, Ohio) followed with a time of 24:35.2, good for 137th place. Classmate Alexandra Corrigan (Burton, Ohio) checked in with a time of 25:03.1, placing 157th.

Fellow sophomore Gretchen Sauder (Mansfield, Ohio) finished in 163rd place, crossing the finish line at 25:09.2. Classmate Sarah Rini (Pickerington, Ohio) followed with a time of 26:06.5, good for 192nd place.

Freshman Hayley Bishop (West Carrollton, Ohio) and junior Morgan White (Ashland, Ohio) rounded out the Crusaders with times of 28:51.1 and 29:29.6, respectively.
