Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the CapFam to Your Fam!
To our CapFam, student-athletes, parents, fan, and supporters:

I want to take this opportunity to wish holiday greetings to you and to share my personal thanks and appreciation for your support and dedication to Capital University.

The 2018 calendar year has been a year of change for us. While we have faced many challenges, in the spirit of the holiday season we must be reminded of the many gifts we have to be thankful for.

We brought the world to Capital University with the TBT basketball tournament. Through an international lens, hundreds of thousands saw on ESPN a beautiful campus and community that is home to an awesome university.

Our athletic department has grown with new graduate assistant positions and improvement in many of our athletic programs. Milestones were hit with Women's Basketball Head Coach Dixie Jeffers earning her 700th career win, quarterback Thomas Wibbeler setting the NCAA record for total yardage in a game, plus numerous academic and athletic All-Americans. We are also on the cusp of witnessing not one, but TWO men's basketball players hit 1,000 career points in the same season.

There is a championship foundation being built every day and can be seen through multiple programs that annually compete for and win conference titles, and gain entrance to NCAA tournaments and championships. Our facilities have been enhanced, and with the backing and generosity of our alumni, we are finalizing plans for a new baseball/softball complex and tennis facility to be built on campus.

As we head into 2019, I am thankful for the opportunity to work daily with quality scholar-athletes that will shape our tomorrow. Our coaches, support staff and campus staff do a fantastic job in helping our students find and prepare themselves for their futures. I am thankful every day for having the opportunity to work here with so many wonderful people.

Together, we make Capital University the shining light that guides our young people into the world and empowers them to make an impact in it. Whether you've been working tirelessly in the weight room and field of competition, cheering for us from the stands or at home, or supporting Capital Athletics in any of the many possible ways, I am very grateful for your contributions to making this past year successful and our future bright.

My wish is that you all have the opportunity to share this special time of year with your friends, family and loved ones.

Thank you for your significant support and dedication to Capital Athletics!
