Capital Men’s Cross Country Competes Hard in Heat

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Without two of the team's normal starters, Capital University Men's Cross Country finished third out of three full teams at the Columbus State Cougar Classic on Saturday.

Aaron Fox (Commercial Point, Ohio/Teays Valley) was the first Crusader to finish the 5K course with a time of 17:30 which earned him second overall.

In eighth place overall was Quinton Napier (Columbus, Ohio/Hamilton Township) with a time of 19:04.

Andrew Rus (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield) completed the course in 19:59, third on Capital's team and 11th overall.

Nathan Hutchins (Toledo, Ohio/Maumee) finished one spot behind Rus with a time of 20:12.

James Kisner (Milford, Ohio/Amelia) rounded out the Capital team with a time of 21:28, 17th place overall.

Becasue of the heat, only three full teams competed in the race with Capital coming in third with 49 points. Columbus State Community College finished first with 34 points and Notre Dame College finished second with 39.

The Crusaders will be in action again on Friday, Sept. 29 at the All-Ohio Championships.
