Quinn has Place on NSCAA Great Lakes All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Capital University senior Claire Quinn has been selected to have a spot of the Great Lakes All-Region team following the 2016 campaign. She was recently named Third Team All-Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Quinn, a senior from Coto de Caza, Calif., was part of a Capital midfield that generated 38 goals and allowed just 1.37 goals against over the course of the 2016 season. Cap finished 9-8-1 overall, 6-2-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, and advanced to the conference tournament semi-final round.

Quinn played a key role on both sides of the ball as a stout defender as well as an optimal striker. She finished the season with five goals and five assists, resulting in 15 points which was second best on the team. Three of her goals were game winners and three came off free kicks.

After the season concluded, Quinn was named First Team All-OAC. She is a three-time all-conference and is a two-time All-Ohio selection in years past.
